eosin
Any of several synthetic dyes, including bluish and yellow ones.

They are used to stain tissues for microscopic examinations.

eosinopenia
The presence of eosinophils in an abnormally small number in the peripheral bloodstream; hypoeosinophilia.
eosinophile, eosinophil
1. A type of white blood cell found in vertebrate blood, containing cytoplasmic granules that are easily stained by eosin or other acid dyes.
2. A microorganism, cell, or histological element easily stained by eosin or other acid dyes.
eosinotactic
Attracting or repulsing eosinophilic cells.
