condylar
Relating to or resembling a condyle.
condyle, cokndylus
1. A round bump on a bone where it forms a joint with another bone.
2. A rounded articular surface at the extremity of a bone.
3. A rounded part at the end of a bone that forms a moving joint with a cup-shaped cavity in another bone.

The ball part of a ball-and-socket joint; such as, the hip or shoulder joint is a condyle.

Excision of a condyle (the rounded articular, or joint, surface at the extremity of a bone).
condylion
A point on the lateral outer or medial inner surface of the condyle of the mandible (the lower jawbone in vertebrates which is hinged to open the mouth).

condyloma acuminatum
1. Condyloma acuminatum, a papilloma with a central core of connective tissue in a treelike structure covered with epithelium, usually occurring on the mucous membrane or skin of the external genitals or in the perianal region.
2. A wart-like growth around the anus, vulva, or glans penis.

There are three major types of condylomas, each of which is sexually transmitted. These include condyloma acuminatum or genital warts, condyloma latum (a form of secondary syphilis), and condyloma subcutaneum or molluscum contagiosum.

The word condyloma comes from the Greek kondylos, meaning a "knuckle" or "a knob". The same Greek root gave rise to the word condyle, referring to a rounded articular surface of a bone; such as, for example, the lateral condyle of the tibia (the rounded bony prominence on the outside of the ankle).
