(Greek: kamptos, bent)


camptocormia, camptospasm, campospasm
A syndrome, consisting of anterior bending of the trunk that produces an apelike posture, persistent lumbar pain, and sexual impotence.
camptodactylic
A reference to the permanent flexion (bent condition) of one or more fingers or toes.
camptodactylism
A fixed flexion deformity of one or more fingers or toes.
camptodactyly
Permanent flexion (bending) of one, or both interphalangeal, joints of one or more fingers, usually the little finger; often congenital (from birth) in origin.
camptomelia, camptomelic
1. A bending of the limbs, producing permanent bowing, or curving, of the affected part.
2. A skeletal dysplasia characterized by a bending of the long bones of the limbs (arms and legs), resulting in a permanent bowing or curvature of the affected part or parts.
Camptosaurus
A “bent” or “flexible lizard” from Late Jurassic to Early Cretaceous England and western North America (Colorado, Utah, and Wyoming). This creature was formerly called Cumnoria and Symphyrosaurus. Named by Othniel Charles Marsh (1831-1899) in 1885.
phonocamptic
Having the property of reflecting sound, or producing an echo; relating to the reflexion of sound, cataphonic.
phonocamptics
That branch of physics dealing with the reflection of sounds.
