adenocele
An adenomatous cystic tumor.
adipocele
A true hernia with hernial sac, containing only fatty tissue, also called lipocele.
aerocele
1. A tumor formed by air filling an adventitious pouch, such as laryngocele and trachecele.
2. Distention of a small natural cavity with gas.
amniocele
arthrocele
bubonocele
1. An incomplete hernia of the groin accompanied by swelling.
2. An inguinal hernia; especially, one in which the protrusion of the intestine is limited to the region of the groin.
3. A femoral or inguinal hernia; especially, an incomplete variety in which the hernial pouch descends only as far as the groin, forming a swelling there like a bubo.
colpocele
cremnocele
A protrusion of intestine into the labium majus (one of two rounded folds of integument forming the lateral boundaries of the pudendal cleft).
Greek kremnos, "overhanging cliff" plus kele, "hernia".
dacryocele, dacryocystocele
1. Hernial protrusion of the lacrimal sac.
2. A pathologic enlargement of the lacrimal sac usually due to occlusion of the nasolacrimal duct and retention of mucoid secretions.

encephalocele
A hernia of the brain through a congenital or traumatic opening in the cranium.
esophagocele
Protrusion of the mucous membrane of the esophagus through a tear (hernia) in the muscular coat.
gonocele
Spermatocele; cyst of the epididymis containing spermatozoa.
hydrocele
An accumulation of serous fluid in a body cavity; especially, between the visceral and parietal layers of the tunica vaginalis in the scrotum.
isosceles
1. Designating a triangle with two equal sides or legs.
2. A description of a trapezoid (quadrilateral that has two parallel sides) in which the two nonparallel sides are of equal length.
