angiostaxis
1. An obsolete term for the oozing of blood; bleeding.
2. The oozing of blood, as seen in hemophilia.
apostaxis
1. A slight hemorrhage.
2. Slight bleeding; bleeding by drops.
bronchostaxis
Hemorrhage from the bronchi; bronchorrhagia.
cystistaxis, cystostaxis
Oozing of blood from the mucous membrane of the bladder.
enterostaxis
The oozing of blood from the mucous membrane of the intestine.
epistaxis
Bleeding from the nose.
gastrostaxis
Oozing of blood from the mucous membrane of the stomach.
hematostaxis, haematostaxis
A spontaneous bleeding as a result of a blood disease.
menostaxis
Excessive menstrual bleeding; hypermenorrhea.
metrostaxis
1. The oozing of blood from the mucous membrane of the uterus.
2. A slight but continuous uterine hemorrhage.
staxis
The escape of blood from the vessels; bleeding.
urethrostaxis
1. Bleeding of the urethra.
2. The oozing of blood from the mucous membrane of the urethra.
