adenomegaly
Enlargement of one or both adrenal glands.
adenomere
The blind terminal portion of a developing gland, becoming the functional portion of the organ.
adenomyosis
The ectopic occurrence or diffuse implantation of adenomatous tissue in muscle (usually smooth muscle).
adenomyxoma
A tumor containing glandular tissue and myxomatous, or mucoid, mterial.
adenomyxosarcoma
A malignant tumor containing glandular and myxomatous components.
adenoneural
Obsolete term relating to a gland and a nervous element.
adenopathy
A swelling or morbid enlargement of the lymph nodes.
adenopharyngitis
Inflammation of the adenoids and pharynx, usually involving the tonsils.
adenophlegmon
Acute inflammation of a gland and the adjacent connective tissue.
adenophorous, adenophore
Bearing or producing glands.
adenophyllous
Bearing glands on leaves; glandular-leafed.
adenophyma
Obsolete term for any condition in which a gland or glandular organ is grossly enlarged as the result of inflammation.
adenosarcoma
1. A mixed tumor composed of sarcomatous and glandular elements.
2. A complex tumor containing both glandular and connective tissues.
adenosclerosis
The hardening of a gland.
adenose
Relating to a gland; full of glands.
