(Greek: feeling, sensation, perception; suffering, disease, disorder; a system of treatment of disease)

In medicine, some of these elements usually mean “one who suffers from a disease of, or one who treats a disease”; so, they should not be confused with the “feeling” words which are also shown on these pages.


trichopathophobia
1. An abnormal fear of getting hair disease.
2. A fear of trichinosis (a disease caused by worms which come from raw or insufficiently cooked meat; especially, pork); fear of a certain hair color, hair growth, hair disease, etc.
3. Undue anxiety and fear regarding the hair, its growth, color, or diseases.
4. A morbid fear of hair on the face experienced by women, or any abnormal anxiety regarding hair.
trichopathy, trichopathic
1. Any disease of the hair.
2. Disease of the hair; also known as, trichonosis, trichosis.
unsympathetic, unsympathetically
The opposite of sympathetic; without sympathy.
ureteropathy
Disease of the ureter.
uropathogen
Pathogenic organisms in the urinary tract.
uropathy
Any disorder, or disease, involving the urinary tract.
vaginopathy
Any diseased condition of the vagina.
vasculopathy
Any disease of the blood vessels.
vasoneuropathy
1. Any disease involving both the nerves and blood vessels.
2. A combined vascular and neurologic defect, the lesions being caused by simultaneous action of both the vascular and the nervous systems, or by the interaction of the two systems.
vestibulopathy
Any abnormality of the vestibular apparatus (a space or cavity at the entrance to a canal in the ear, larynx, mouth, nose, vagina, etc.).
vitreoretinopathy
1. Retinopathy (inflammation of the retina) with vitreous (glasslike) complications.
2. A disorder of the vitreous humor and the retina of the eye, the most severe consequences of which are usually traction phenomena leading to the detachment of the retina.
xanthopathy
Xanthochromia, the occurrence of patches of yellow discoloration in the skin, resembling jaundice.
zoopathology, zoopathy
1. The study or science of the diseases of animals; animal pathology.
2. Animal diseases, especially those of lower animal forms.
