anthophilous, anthophile, anthophily
1. Attracted to, or feeding on, flowers.
2. Living on or frequenting flowers; such as, an insect (bees, etc.).
anthropophilous, anthropophily
1. Thriving in close proximity to mankind.
2. A reference to biting or blood-sucking insects that feed on humans.
anthropozoophilic
Attracted more or less equally to humans and to some other kinds of animal host; said, for example, of certain kinds of mosquitoes.
apodysophilia
An undue eagerness to disrobe.
apopurophilist, apopurophile
A collector of fire marks.
apotemnophilia
1. A form of paraphilia (the need for an extreme or dangerous stimulus to achieve sexual arousal or orgasm) characterized by the individual requesting amputation of an extremity for erotic reasons.
2. A paraphilia in which sexual arousal and orgasm are dependent upon the subject's being a self-amputee.

Paraphilia is characterized by sexual arousal to unconventional stimuli that are not considered to be part of normal sexual arousal patterns. It is also defined as a need for an extreme or dangerous stimulus to achieve sexual arousal or orgasm.

arctophilist, arctophile
Someone who collects teddy bears or a collector of teddy bears.
argillophilous, argillophile, argillophily
Organisms that thrive, or live, in clay or mud.
argyrophil, argyrophile
Pertaining to tissue elements that are capable of impregnation with silver ions and being made visible after an external reducing agent is used. Synonyms: argentophil, argentophile.
asphyxiophilia
Self-strangulation. Also known as autoerotic asphyxiation, a form of sexual masochism.
astrophile
1. Someone who is fond of star lore or the acquired knowledge or wisdom about stars; such as, those from local traditions, handed down by word of mouth and usually in the form of stories or historical anecdotes.
2. A love or fondness of the stars.
audiophile
1. A devotee of high-fidelity reproduction of sound (chiefly U.S.).
2. A person having an ardent interest in stereo or high-fidelity sound reproduction.
aulosophile, aulosophilist
A collector of reed instruments.
autagonistophilia
A sexual perversion in which sexual arousal and orgasm are contingent upon displaying one’s self in a live show, i.e. being observed performing on stage or on camera.

The observer’s condition (if the stage or camera performance by the partner is a necessity for sexual arousal) is termed scoptophilia, [scopophilia], not voyeurism.
