cynophobia, kynophobia
1. An abnormal or excessive fear of dogs or of being bitten by a dog.
2. A morbid fear of getting rabies from a dog.
3. A morbid mental state, usually hysterical in character; sometimes precipitated by the bite of a dog.
Some people see dogs as both fearsome and unpleasant animals or as friends and protectors.
cypridophobia
An excessive fear of sexual intercourse or of catching a venereal disease.
