aerotolerant
1. Able to grow in the presence of air but deriving energy by fermentation rather than by respiration.
2. Able to survive or to grow slowly in an aerobic environment; said of certain anaerobic micro-organisms.
barotolerant
Relating to or describing a microorganism that grows optimally at standard atmospheric pressure but is able to grow at higher pressures as well.
cryotolerant
Tolerant of very low temperatures.
dosis tolerata
The largest dose (medical and/or radiation) which can be administered with safety.
halotolerant
Tolerating, although not necessarily preferring, a saline environment; haloxene.
intolerability
1. Impossible to tolerate or to endure; unbearable, unendurable.
2. Completely unacceptable.

1. Anything that is so bad, difficult, or painful that it cannot be endured: "The pain was so intolerable that he could not sleep."
2. Very unpleasant or terribly annoying.

2. An unwillingness to recognize and respect differences in the opinions or beliefs of others.
3. A lack of toleration; unwillingness or refusal to tolerate or respect contrary opinions or beliefs, persons of different races or backgrounds, etc.
4. The incapacity or indisposition to bear or endure something: "My mother had an intolerance to heat."
5. In medicine, an extreme sensitivity, inability to withstand, or allergy to a drug, food, or other substance:"She had a lactose intolerance."
intolerant
1. Unwilling to tolerate differences of opinion.
2. Being narrow-minded about cherished opinions.
3. Showing an unwillingness or refusal to accept people who are different, or views, beliefs, or lifestyles that differ from one's own; such as, an intolerant society.
4. Easily angered or annoyed: "He is intolerant of vulgarity."
5. Unable to eat or drink a particular food, ingredient, or substance, or to take a particular drug without having an allergic reaction or getting sick.
6. Unable to thrive or to survive in a particular environment.
intolerantly
1. Not tolerating or respecting beliefs, opinions, usages, manners, etc.; different from one's own, as in political or religious matters; bigoted.
2. Unable or unwilling to tolerate or to endure (usually followed by of): "He was intolerant of very hot weather."
intolerated
Not endured; not tolerated.
intoleration
1. Lacking tolerance; a refusal to tolerate a difference of opinion.
2. Intolerance; refusal to tolerate others in their opinions or worship.
thermotolerant
Enduring heat; said of bacteria whose activity is not checked or hindered by high temperature.
