parasomnia
Any dysfunction associated with sleep, e.g., somnabulism, pavor nocturnus, enureseis, or nocturnal seizures.
polycinematosomnography
The process or technique of recording movements during sleep.
polysomnogram
The recorded physiological function(s) obtained from polysomnography.
polysomnograph, polysomnographic
The recorded results of polysomnography or the recordings during sleep of multiple physiological variables.
polysomnography
1. Continuous measurement and recording of relevant normal and abnormal physiological activity during sleep.
2. The polygraphic recording during sleep of multiple physiologic variables, both directly and indirectly related to the state and stages of sleep, to assess possible biological causes of sleep disorders.

Usually, respiration, oxygen saturation, body position, and other factors are also measured during polysomnography.

Characteristic of old age sleeplessness.

Sleeplessness that is characteristic of old age.

Sleep-walking, somnambulism.
somnambulant
Walking, or tending to walk, while asleep, sleep walking; somnambulic.
somnambular
1. A reference to walking or performing another act while asleep or in a sleeplike condition.
2. Pertaining to somnambulism; somnambulistic.
somnambulate, somnambulating
To walk or to perform another act while asleep or in a sleeplike condition; sleepwalking.
somnambulation
1. The action or fact of walking while asleep.
2. To walk or perform another act while asleep or in a sleeplike condition.
somnambulator
Someone who walks while asleep.
Somnambulator or someone who walks while he is asleep.

somnambulency
Sleepwalking, rising out of bed and walking about during an apparent state of sleep, usually occurring in the first third of the night and lasting a few minutes to a half hour.
