polymenorrhea
Abnormally frequent menstruation, defined as that occurring at regular intervals of less than 21 days. Synonym: epimenorrhea.
psychorrhea
1. Rarely used term for a psychiatric syndrome characterized by incoherent and strange philosophical theories; a manifestation of schizophrenia.
2. A form of hebephrenic schizophrenia characterized by vague and often bizarre theories of philosophy; usually, the stream of thought is incoherent.
ptyalorrhea
The excessive secretion of saliva.
pyorrhea
1. Inflammation of the gums with a loosening of the teeth and a discharge of pus from the tooth sockets.
2. Any discharge of pus from any bodily organ or cavity.
pyorrheal
A reference to or characterized by periodontitis or marginal periodontitis.

Periodontitis is a dental disorder that results from progression of gingivitis, involving inflammation and infection of the ligaments and bones that support the teeth.

rhinorrhea, rhinorrhoea
1. A discharge from the nasal mucous membrane.
2. Escape of cerebrospinal fluid through the nose.
seborrhea, seborrhoea
1. A disease of the sebaceous glands characterized by excessive secretion of sebum or an alteration in its quality, resulting in an oily coating, crusts, or scales on the skin.
2. A functional disease of the sebaceous glands marked by an increase in the amount, and often an alteration of the quality, of the sebaceous secretion; usually resulting in an excessive amount of sebum.
3. A morbidly increased discharge of sebaceous matter upon the skin.
seborrhea capitis
Seborrhea of the scalp.
seborrhea ichthyosis
A variety of seborrhea characterized by the formation of large, platelike (fishlike) crusts.
seborrhea nasi
1. Seborrhea of the sebaceous glands of the nose.
2. An extensive sebum production on the nose.
seborrhea nigricans, seborrhea nigra
Chromhidrosis in which there is a dark, greasy-looking discoloration of the eyelids and adjacent skin.
seborrhea oleosa
A form of seborrhea characterized by an excessive oiliness of the skin; especially, in the area of the forehead and the nose.
seborrhea sicca
A form of seborrheic dermatitis characterized by dry scaling.
seborrhea squamosa neonatorum
Seborrheic dermatitis occurring in a newborn infant.
seborrheic
Characterized or affected by seborrhea. Also: seborrhoic, seborrheal.
