A plant that grows in sand or sandy soil.
psammophytes
Plants that grow best in or tolerate sand, particularly fine to medium sand.

1. Organisms swimming above sand that are dependent on it for food.
2. Aquatic organisms swimming above a sand substratum but deriving their food from the surface of that substratum.
uropsammus
Any inorganic or uratic urinary sediment.
