parotiditis
Inflammation of the parotid gland (salivary gland situated in front of and below the ear).
parotitic
Inflammation of the parotid glands (salivary glands), as in mumps.
parotitis
Inflammation of the parotid gland.
periotic
1. Surrounding, or pertaining to the region surrounding, the internal ear; as, the periotic capsule.
2. A reference to certain bones or bony elements that form or help to form a protective capsule for the internal ear.
polyotia
1. A condition whereby someone has more than two ears.
2. The presence of a supernumerary auricle (ear-shaped appendage) on one or both sides of the head.
pro-otic, preauricular
Anterior (in front of the ear) to the auricle (ear or sense of hearing part) of the ear.
