acanthoid
Resembling a spine, spine shaped, spiny, spinous.
acanthozooid
An animal with spines or spine-like growths.
acaroid
Resembling a mite; having the form of, or allied to, an Acarus or mite; mite-like.
acidoid
Similar to or like acid.
acromegaloidism
A bodily condition resembling acromegaly but not due to pituitary disorder.
acrostichoid
Resembling the beginnings of lines of poetry.
actinoid
Rayed; star-shaped or stellate.
adenoid
Resembling a gland; when used in the plural, adenoids, they refer to lymphoid tissue that normally exists in the nasopharynx of children and is known in medicine as the pharyngeal tonsil.
adipoid
Resemblance to fat; also, lipoid.
Aeluroid
Belonging to, or having the characteristics of, the division Aeluroidea of Carnivora, comprising the feline and allied families; as an animal of this division.
albinoid, albinoidism, albinoism
Resembling an albino; having the appearance of an albino.
albuminoid
Like or resembling albumen; of the same character as albumen.
albumoid
aleuronoid
Resembling flour.
algoid
Resembling, or of the nature of seaweed.
