mastigophobia
An excessive dread of being flogged (whipped or beaten).
Mastigophora
The flagellates, a subphylum of Protozoa having one or more locomotory flagella.
mastigophoric
1. Referring to someone carrying or wielding a whip.
2. In biology, with reference to a cell having a flagellum (a long thin tapering outgrowth of the cells of many microorganisms; such as, protozoans used as a means of locomotion).
mastigophorous
Referring, or pertaining, to the subphylum Mastigophora (a subphylum of protozoa, phylum Sarcomastigophora, comprising the flagellates.

2. An organism having four flagella (whips or long, threadlike appendages, especially whip-like extensions of certain cells or unicellular organisms that function as organs of locomotion).
trimastigote
Having three flagella, as observed in certain protozoan organisms.
Zoomastigina
Zooflagellates; phylum of Protoctista comprising unicellular heterotrophic organisms possessing at least one flagellum, often more; may be free-living or parasitic.
