granuloma inguinale
A rare sexually transmitted disease that is caused by Calymmatobacterium granulomatis.

Calymmatobacterium is a genus of bacteria causing granuloma inguinale and other granulomatous lesions (chronic inflammatory lesion characterized by large numbers of cells of various types).

infrainguinal
Inferior to the inguinal ligament (a fibrous band running from the anterior superior spine of the ilium [upper and widest of the three bones making up the hipbone] to the spine of the pubis [front center portion of the pelvis]).
inguen (s), inguina (pl)
The groin (area where the thigh meets the hip).
inguenalgia
Pain in the groin; also, inguinodynia.
inguinal
Referring to, relating to, or located in the groin.
inguinal bubo
A bubo in the region of the groin.
inguinal hernia
1. Hernia in which a loop of intestine enters the inguinal canal; the most common type of hernia in males.
2. A common type of hernia in which a loop of the intestine protrudes directly through a weak area of the abdominal wall in the groin region.
3. The abnormal passage of an internal abdominal organ or structure through the inguinal canal.
inguinal region, regio inguinalis
The topographical area of the inferior abdomen related to the inguinal canal, lateral to the pubic region (lower central region of the abdomen below the umbilical region).
inguinoabdominal
Referring to, or located, in the groin and the abdomen.
inguinocele
A pathological swelling found in the groin, or in the inguinal, region.
inguinocrural
A reference to, or located in, the groin and the thigh.
inguinodynia
Pain in the groin.
inguinointerstitial
Located, or occurring, in the tissues of the groin.
inguinolabial
Referring to, or located in, thegroin and the labium majus (one of two rounded folds of integument, covering, forming the lateral boundaries of the pudendal cleft [cleft between the labia majora or larger pair of lips of the femail external genitalia).
inguinoscrotal
Relating to the groin and the scrotum.
