hypophoria
A tendency of the visual axis of one eye to deviate downward, prevented by binocular vision.
hypophotesthesia
A decreased sensitivity to light.
hypophrasia
Slowness or lack of speech associated with a psychosis or brain injury.
hypophyllous
hypophysis (s), hypophyses (pl)
1. An undergrowth.
2. The pituitary body or gland.
hypoplankton, hypoplanktonic
Plankton found in the layer of water directly above the bottom of the ocean.
hypoplasia
hypoplastic
hypopnea
Breathing that is shallower, and/or slower, than normal.
hypopodium
hypoptyalism
1. Decreased or reduced secretion of saliva.
2. Abnormally decreased salivation, as in xerostomia; also termed, hyposalivation and hyposialosis.
hypopygial, hypopygium
In entomology, situated under the end of the adomen.
hyporchidism
Decreased internal secretion of the testicles.
hyporrhined
Under the nose; moustached.
hyposarca
Extreme anasarca (effusion of serum into the cellular substance, occasioning a soft, pale, inelastic swelling of the skin) of the subcutaneous connective tissue.
