hyperirritable
Abnormally great, or uninhibited, response to a stimuli.
hyperkeratinization
The excessive development or retention of keratin by the epidermis.
hyperkeratosis
An excessive thickening of the horny or outer layer of the skin.
hyperkeratotic
Manifesting hyperkaratosis or the abnormal thickening of the horny layer of the epidermis.
hyperkinemia
A condition in which there is abnormally high blood flow.
hyperkinemic
1. Characterized by, or causing, an abnormally high volume of blood flow.
2. An agent that increases the volume of blood flow.
hyperkinesia (high" pur ki NEE zhuh, high" pur ki NEE zi uh)
1. A condition of abnormally increased muscular movement.
2. Purposeless and uncontrollable muscular movement; trembling, shaking, nervous twitching.
hyperkinesis
1. An abnormally intense motor activity, often associated with agitation.
2. Certain recurring or continuous involuntary movements seen in disease of the central nervous system; such as, chorea (ceaseless rapid complex body movements that look well coordinated and purposeful but are, in fact, involuntary) and athetosis (repetitive involuntary, slow, sinuous, writhing movements; or twisting, snake-like, or worm-like movements).
hyperkinetic
1. Having, or exhibiting, hyperkinesia or hyperactivity (abnormally intense movements).
2. Wildly fast-paced or excited; frenetic: "The clerk presented a hyperkinetic sales pitch on the phone."
hyperlethal
Exceeding the minimum required for a lethal (deadly, fatal, capable of causing death, death-dealing) effect; a reference to a dosage of a drug or other agent.
hyperlexia
1. Enhanced reading skill; used to describe the trait in patients with various developmental disorders.
2. The presence of an advanced ability to read compared to the ability to understand spoken language.

Children with hyperlexia have a precocious ability to read words, far above what would be expected at their chronological age or they hav an intense fascination with letters or numbers. They tend to have significant difficulties in understanding verbal language, abnormal social skills, difficulty in socializing, and interacting appropriately with people.

An excessive level of lipids, or fats, in the blood.

General terms for elevated concentrations of any or all of the lipids in the plasma.
hyperlipoproteinemia
An excess of lipoproteins (any of the lipid-protein, or fat-protein, complexes in which lipids or fats) in the blood, resulting from a disorder of lipoprotein metabolism; it may be an acquired or familial condition or some combination.
hyperliposis
1. Excessive adiposity.
2. An extreme degree of fatty degeneration.
3. An excess of fat in the blood serum or tissues.
